·       Morning Meditation:  Maybe a little Yoga?  Maybe a little Tai Chi? We haven’t decided exactly what this will look like, but for those who find themselves more contemplative, less able to deal with constant human interaction, slow to get going in the morning, or just up too early to entertain themselves, we are designing this time to promote inner peace throughout the weekend. If your idea of meditation is a few more minutes with your pillow, no worries – we know it’s not for everyone.

·       Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: Lunches are included with your registration.  A light breakfast will be served for those staying at the church.  Dinner each night is on your own.  We will be located directly on the historic Kansas City Country Club Plaza, within walking distance of countless restaurants. Take this time to dine with new friends and see Kansas City.

DPF's Blog "Shalom Vision" is now up and live.

SHALOM VISION is a new  blog that will host guest bloggers who may share their thoughts, questions and visions around peace and justice - ideally sparking comment and dialog on the blog page.

2010 Peace Interns - APPLY TODAY!

Disciples Peace Fellowship is now accepting applications for Peace Interns.  A peace intern is trained in Biblically based peace education, and then attends camps and conferences educating youth and adults about current events and how they effect our faith journey.

In addition to having training, lodging, meals and travel expenses covered, interns are modestly compensated for their work over the summer.  An intern must be at least 21 years of age by June 1 of their internship year, and available to serve all summer.

This is the first year that Disciples Peace Fellowship will be accepting ON-LINE applications.  The application deadline is February 19, 2010.  Applications and more information can be found in the PEACE INTERN section of our web page.
